About Regent Oxford
Regent is one of the largest training centres in the U.K that owns and runs several language schools, including Regent Oxford. Regent has over 40 years experience in teaching English to 50 different nationalities.
Regent Oxford is the oldest school in the Regent Group, situated in the historic English University City of Oxford. This language school attracts more mature students who are just as serious about learning English as you are!
Up to 170 students study at Regent Oxford at any one time, in classes of 6 or 12 maximum. You can take General English, Academic Semester and Year Programmes, and Examination Preparation classes for Cambridge Papers and IELTS. There are intensive ClassSIX courses available for ambitious learners and Business English courses either in small groups of six or one to one (or a combination of both).
After classes are over you should fill up your free time with activities organised by Regent Oxford. You can get to know other international students on trips to places like Stonehenge and Edinburgh, or activities like pub and club nights or parties.
Facilities at Regent Oxford
Regent Oxford occupies a very elegant Victorian building which has a large and typically English garden that all students are allowed to use and enjoy. You can relax here during lunch and breaks with your new found friends studying at the school. As well as light and airy classrooms inside you will find a computer room, a library, bookshop, and an internet café. With free email and internet access available you will find it really easy to keep in contact with family and friends.
Where is Regent Oxford located?
Regent Oxford is ideally located 1.5km North of Oxford city centre. This quieter residential setting provides you with easy access to the plethora of vibrant nightlife that this University City has to offer.
During your free time you can head to the town centre to shop on Cornmarket or Queens Street, stopping off to visit the Oxford Story to find out about the history of Oxford University. You can admire some of its beautiful colleges, including Christchurch and Balliol, and take a trip to the University of Oxford Botanic Gardens, which are the oldest botanic gardens in Britain.
When you want to venture further afield you should catch a train from Oxford Railway Station nearby.
