EC Cambridge is part of EC, an international group of language schools renowned for high quality English tuition. Established in 1983, EC Cambridge is an intimate school with committed teachers. With a maximum capacity of 102 students, you will be placed in classes with up to 12 students.
EC Cambridge offers adult courses in General English all year (and for juniors in the summer breaks at the EC Junior Centre), Intensive English, One to One Tuition, exam preparation classes for the Cambridge Papers and IELTS, an Academic Year course and a unique, Full Immersion course. A One to One Business English course is also available.
To help you make friends, see Cambridge and embrace English culture, EC Cambridge arranges several afternoon activities per week like visits to the Fitzwilliam Museum and Punting on the River Cam. These are included in your fees! There are also optional activities available such as ice skating and excursions to amazing cities such as London.
Facilities at EC Cambridge
EC Cambridge occupies the upper floors of a charming 1820's building. Here you will find 8 classrooms. The flat screen computers will provide you with free internet and email access so the odd email home to your parents won't take too much effort. This language school also has its own cinema system, TV and DVD facilities. At lunchtimes you should go the EC Café next door on Corn Exchange to meet up with friends and grab something to eat. Alternatively you can relax in the student recreation room.
Where is EC Cambridge located?
EC Cambridge is surrounded by some of Cambridge University's colleges such as Queens College, Trinity College, and Kings College (where you will also find Kings College Chapel). This is an incredibly central location, so you will find it easy to explore many delightful shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes during your lunch breaks.
You will be less than 100 metres from Market Square where market traders sell their wares every day of the week. The Corn Exchange just around the corner is a venue for lots of concerts and plays so you should see what's on during your stay.
The closest train station to EC Cambridge is Cambridge Train Station. This is a short taxi or bus ride from the language school.
