The University of Manchester is easily accessible from Hatters Hostel Manchester from Piccadilly Bus Station, where a number of buses will take you to within walking distance of the university. Manchester Academy of English is also within easy reach just a short walk away from the hostel.

Piccadilly bus and train stations are just around the corner from Hatters Hostel Manchester. Several buses from nearby Piccadilly Gardens will take you to Oxford Road, where you can visit Manchester Museum. You can also visit the Whitworth Art Gallery situated in the city's university.

The Northern Quarter of Manchester has a number of nightclubs, bar and restaraunts all within walking distance of Hatters Hostel Manchester. The area also has a number of shops and boutiques to browse and enjoy, including the Coliseum Centre on Church Street.
