Globe English Centre Exeter has two buildings next door to each other in Exeter
city centre, one of them dedicated to adults and the other to juniors. It opened
in 1978 and is run by a dynamic team including experienced and qualified
teachers.
The adult courses you can take have a maximum of 6 to a class
to ensure you get individual attention. You can study the Main Programme of
General English or the Authentic English Programme that uses materials like
newspapers and videos to help you learn. There are also 10 week Cambridge exam
preparation courses and combinations of the Main Programme with Business English
or IT.
The full time Social Organiser at Globe English Centre Exeter
devises optional activities for adults so you can make friends and see England.
This includes cooking sessions and BBQ's, trips to local newspapers and theatres
and even excursions like pony trekking and deep sea fishing!
Globe
English Centre Exeter is also open to juniors all year round. Individual
children and groups can attend the age 7-10 Explorer Programme and the age 11-19
Discovery Programme which includes English lessons and an action packed social
programme in the fees.
Closed group courses and one to one lessons can
be devised for both adults and juniors.
Globe English Centre Exeter has beautifully modernised two 19th century buildings next door to each other to provide separate adult and junior centres. You will find that they are surrounded by attractive gardens and courtyards and have comfortable classrooms with audio visual equipment. Both also have small kitchens and access to indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as billiards and volleyball. The self access study centre you can use in the adult building has a listening centre and computers with free internet, remote access and ADSL.
These exceptional buildings also occupy an enviable position, right in the heart
of the city of Exeter. Exeter is the capital of Devon in South East England and
is renowned for being a safe and friendly city that international students like
you thrive in.
Two of Exeter's train stations (St David's and Central)
are within easy walking distance. You can travel to places like London, Bath,
and Cornwall with ease from here. Nearby Exeter airport has direct flights to
fabulous destinations such as Paris, Geneva and Malaga.
The city
centre's shops, bars, restaurants, clubs and cafes are all close by. You can
also walk to see some of Exeter's famous attractions such as Exeter Cathedral,
the Roman city walls in Rougemont Gardens and St Nicolas Priory.
